Human Factors is a recognised profession and is governed by the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors in the United Kingdom.

About Wright Human Factors
Wright Human Factors Ltd is Directed by Michael Wright (C.ErgHF, C.Psychol, AFBPSsS, CMIOSH).
Michael is a Chartered Human Factors Specialist and Chartered Psychologist, with over 35 years international experience across oil and gas, chemicals, nuclear, rail, shipping, emergency response and renewables, and other sectors.
He has developed best practice guidance on many topics, including organisational change, risk communication, competence management, Human Factors and safety culture assessment, on behalf of the Energy Institute, Centre for Chemical Process Safety and the UK Health and Safety Executive.
He delivers the:
Human Factors Foundation course on behalf of the Energy Institute,
Cogent Skill's one and two day Human Factors courses.
He is a mentor and assessor for the Energy Institute’s Human Performance for Energy Learning Pathway.
He also delivers Human Factors in-house training and consultancy.
